Not-In-My-Back-Yard syndrome for Singaporeans
Hello dear bloggers , today I want to talk about NIMBY syndrome for Singaporeans . We ,as Singaporeans , must know that we have busy lives to live . We also have to take care of our parents ,which brings me to this thought ,we do not want certain amenities in our neighbourhood . Many people do not want elderly care centres because some people think that it will be very smelly and noisy and it will affect the retail price of their homes . Well if we do not want such amenities in our neighbourhoods , we should all learn to be respectful and have a heart to take care of our own parents , instead of pushing the responsibility to others to take care of them . It will be much more easier to know what is happening around them and how to help them .Remember the times when our own parents had to go through all the trouble to take of us , see us grow up . Just because they smell old , and troublesome to take care of does not mean we have to give up on them . They stayed by us through thick and thin ,helping us through all the troubles , and now u just want to give up on them ?!This is not right, they put so much effort growing us up from a little baby . We all should have more compassion and respect towards our parents . Thanks for reading this blog , I hope u have learnt to take care of our parents and show more love to them as they did the same to us .
